We've just lost several days trying to figure out why our Adobe Creative Cloud package won't install on Windows 7. It seems the reason is that it includes Project Felix, which requires Windows 10. (And perhaps there are other products with the same requirement? I'm still checking...)
That's all well and good, except that there is no visible indication from the Creative Cloud Packager that this is the case. The people running Creative Cloud Packager aren't usually the same people that actually use the software, so we aren't likely to keep track of this sort of detail - I don't know what half the applications in CC are actually for, but we've paid for them, so the end-users expect to get them. We have hundreds of applications to look after, so we can't afford to spend a great deal of time researching them individually.
This generalizes, of course; if next year some new application requires Windows 10 build 1703 or whatever, please for the love of God make it more obvious!
(Alternatively, if the package went ahead and installed everything except Project Felix, that would have been just fine. As-is, the whole thing failed and we had to resort to trial-and-error to figure out what the problem was.)
... if there is a "cheat sheet" somewhere showing all the applications available from CCP and minimum system requirements, I'd appreciate being linked to it, as that might save us trouble in the future; still, it doesn't help anyone else in the same situation.
