I checked with Adobe tech support, but got no where. I created an offline package for Adobe Team CC last year (runs about 13.8GB). No matter the computer: Adobe CC takes about 3 hours to install per computer. Note that this is corporate network connected via 1GBps NICs back to the switches and the server that hosts the package is running at 1GBps. I can image a computer within 15 minutes and the image is around 11GB. Creo Parametric is about 10GB and that installs in about 15 minutes. Solidworks 2014, even when pulling bits over the Internet, will usually complete in about 30 minutes (install media is about 3.5GB).
I just did a raw file copy from the server to my machine and I was bursting at 98Mbps on the largest files in the Adobe package. Tech support could offer no advice...they state that no log files are created unless there is an error. I certainly cannot be the only one with this problem? I'm going to try copying the whole Adobe CC package to the C: drive to see if that makes any difference and maybe disconnect it off the network to see if that produces different results. It's mind blowing...we have hundreds of software packages and none take this long.
