Hello,
We have started to deploy Creative Cloud applications to our company, and in the CC Packager set things so the Desktop app will not be installed, Remote Update Manager can be used for application updates, and updates should be pulled from our internal Adobe Update Server using the override file generated from the server.
So everything installed properly, and we want to test using RUM to make sure the clients are checking on our internal AUS and NOT reaching out to Adobe for any updates. I can run RUM on a client, and the logs indicate it checks but finds not updates; however, there is no way to tell WHERE it is checking (no IP, DNS name, anything). We checked the IIS logs on the AUS and see nothing coming in.
Can someone explain how you can verify whether the clients are actually checking an internal AUS for updates? The Adobe documentation (Creative Cloud Help | Using Adobe Remote Update Manager) just says it works if you set things up with the override file, but does not explain how you can verify the connection or even how the client conducts the check (HTTP?). We need to confirm this. Thanks!
